Over the years, Hava has come to realize that families who provide homeschooling or other
educational alternatives for their preschool children are eager to find a comprehensive
curriculum for core subjects which includes practical exercises.
In addition, the increasing awareness of global warming dictates that we consume less,
recycle more and use existing materials.
Using a holistic approach, Hava has written over the years a complete curriculum for
core subjects entitled Love and Education for Excellence, which emphasizes recycling
and sustainability along with children’s literature to accompany each subject, all under
one umbrella. The program provides a toolkit in which you can find explanations and
instructions for teaching, practice, creating games from existing and recycled materials and comprehension of the core subjects.
"Education is the key to a brighter, greener future.
At 'Love and Education for Excellence,' we believe every child
is a seed of potential, waiting to flouri"

Subject #1 – My Body and I
We are lucky to have a body that is always available to us. Let us get to know the characteristics and capabilities of our bodies, and in this manner, we will learn basic concepts!
This topic is important and meaningful, as the child's life revolves around himself. The infant's body is the first thing he learns about: he finds his hands, moves them and examines them which helps him start to develop eye-hand coordination. So, let's start with "My Body and I" as our first topic. By using his body and his five senses the child will discover and learn about a whole new world, which will provide the foundation for the core subjects.
-
1. Get to know himself...Get to know himself: his appearance, voice, emotions and skills.
-
2. Learn the names of the parts of his body and their functions...Learn the names of the parts of his body and their functions. This will help him to develop his language and intelligence.
-
3. Learn about relational concepts...Learn about relational concepts: big-small, thick-thin, tall-short, directions, sides, counting, amounts up to 10, greater than…, less than…, there is-there isn't, and others.
-
4. Gain better control over the parts of his body...Gain better control over the parts of his body
-
5. Learn how to use his personal space...Learn how to use his personal space. For instance, he will learn to distinguish between the right and left sides of his body, the middle of his body, his front and back, the upper and lower parts of his body; in and out of his mouth, in his hand. Additionally, the child will also learn how to receive instructions and in the future to give them. He will also improve his body's range of capabilities.
-
6. Learn how to get along in the general surroundings...Learn how to get along in the general surroundings. By learning about his body parts and abilities, he will learn about spatial relationships
-
7. Recognize the relationship between cause and effect...Recognize the relationship between cause and effect. For instance, the phrase "He is holding the bottle in order to drink" illustrates causality in a sentence describing an activity involving parts of the body.
-
The child's acquaintance with his body, its parts, their names and functions, will strengthen...The child's acquaintance with his body, its parts, their names and functions, will strengthen his self-awareness as he grows into a toddler, teenager and adult. In the present and in the future, this will provide him with a sense of identity, a positive self-image, self-awareness and high self-esteem. A child who lacks knowledge is a frustrated and sad child with low self-esteem; obviously this is something we would like to prevent. For some children it is sufficient to be aware of only the body's visible parts, while other more curious children will later be interested in learning about the body's anatomy. From the very first steps, we will start teaching the infant about the human body, and we won't stop. The learning will take place gradually: we will begin with the larger and more generic parts of the body, then move on to the specifics and concentrate on the smaller ones. The head, mouth, nose, eyes and ears will be the first parts of the body we learn. The head houses four of the five senses. As a result, we will be able to start teaching the child about the five senses that we will be using in the 100+ steps at the very first stage, which will make for more hands-on learning. It should be remembered that the child will take pleasure in our attention, hand contact, and soothing, loving voice during the steps. This is a great way to get the kid to listen to us grownups and pay attention. Every day while dressing the child we will describe the parts of the body that are being clothed. As we progress through the steps, the child will understand more and more What to do? Order the first chapter of guidebook My Body and I here at the link. The guide "Love and Education for Excellence" offers activities for children from the ages of infancy through pre-school or for the special needs population as a means of cognitive improvement. The activities have been developed with the collective perspective of a variety of components. The program is suitable for home schooling, for public schools or for anyone involved in the care of children from ages 0-6.
